Pearl was born March 14, 1902 in Palestine, Texas. She was baptized and confirmed in the Episcopal Church at an early age, but later in life became a member of the Baptist Church. She married Revis Kelley (born April 24, 1898) of the Concord Community on June 25, 1926. They made their home in South Palestine for a few years before buying a home on North Sycamore and moving there to raise their growing family. Revis and Pearl had four boys: Revis Marvin Kelley Jr., Clarence Monroe Kelley, Bobby Earl Kelley, and Donald Glen Kelley.
Revis Kelley died April 26, 1939 of Bright’s Disease, common with diabetics. He is buried in the Kelley Family Plot in The Palestine City Cemetery’s New Addition. He died in Dallas, Texas.
Pearl Kelley got re-married to Edwin Link Delaney, Jr. (November 5, 1910) of Palestine on March 4, 1942 in Crockett, Texas. They lived in Palestine for a short time before moving to the country in the summer of 1942 where the boys attended Elkhart Public Schools.
Pearl and Ed had one son, Raymond Edwin (Sprout). He was born January 14, 1944 in Palestine.
Pearl Delaney died on March 4, 1952 in Palestine, Texas. She is buried in the Delaney Family Plot in the Old Palestine City Cemetery. Ed Delaney died May 26, 1962 in Palestine and is buried in the Delaney Family plot in the Old Palestine City Cemetery.
