Thomas Enoch Kelley 1874-1933

Thomas Enoch Kelley was born August 13, 1874 in the Bois D’Arc community in Anderson County, Texas. He died March 3, 1933 in Concord, Anderson County, Texas and is buried in the Concord Cemetery in Anderson County, Texas.

                He married  Ida Alice Morrow on December 3, 1896 in Anderson County, Texas. The Rev. John Van Kelley, Enoch’s uncle performed the ceremony. Ida Morrow was the daughter of Samuel Alexander Pendleton Morrow and Nancy Caroline Lightfoot. Ida was born May 2, 1879 in Brushy Creek, Anderson County, Texas, and she died July 1, 1963 in Palestine, Texas. She is buried next to her husband in the Concord Cemetery, Anderson County, Texas.

                 Enoch and Ida Kelley owned a farm in the Concord community. Enoch and his Uncle Cornelius were progressive farmers and way ahead of their time. They grew fruit orchards and had bees that produced honey that they sold in the area.

                  The children of Enoch Kelley and Ida Morrow are:

                  1.Revis Marvin Kelley—born April 24, 1898 in Concord, Anderson County,  Texas. He died April 26, 1939 in Dallas, Texas. He is buried in the Kelley Family Plot in the Palestine City Cemetery, New Addition in Palestine, Texas.

                  2.Avis Bell Kelley—born November 27, 1899 in Concord, Anderson County Texas. Avis died January 15, 2005 and is buried in the Concord Cemetery in The Kelley Family Plot along with her parents and sister and brother.

                  3.Velma  Irene Kelley—born August 14, 1905 in Concord, Anderson County, Texas.  She died February 10, 1989 in Palestine, Texas. She is buried at the Land Of Memories Cemetery in Palestine, Texas.

                   4.Lois Kelley—born July 21, 1907 in Concord, Anderson County, Texas. She died March 11, 1918 in Concord, Anderson County, Texas, and is buried in the Kelley Family Plot in the Concord Cemetery in Anderson County, Texas.

                   5.Elmer Cal Kelley—born November 11, 1911 in Concord, Anderson County Texas. He died on March 30, 2002 at the Veterans Hospital in Temple, Texas. He is buried in the Concord Cemetery in Anderson County, Texas in the Kelley Family Plot next to his parents.

                   6. Ethel Caroline Kelley—born September 29, 1914 in Concord, Anderson County, Texas. She died September 4, 2003 in Tyler, Texas. She is buried in the Tyler Memorial Cemetery in Tyler, Texas.
