Elmer Cal Kelley 1911-2002

Elmer Kelley was born November 1, 1911 in Concord, Anderson County, Texas. 

Elmer died on March 30, 2002 at the Veterans Hospital in Temple, Texas. He is buried in the Concord Cemetery in Anderson County, Texas in the Kelley Family Plot next to his parents.

            He served from September 1942 till November 1945 in World War II  with the Army Air Corps. He was stationed in North Africa, India and Burma and worked as an airplane mechanic.

            He retired from the United States Post Office. He never married and he has lived his entire life  in the Palestine area until 2000 when he moved to the Veteran’s Hospital in Waco, Texas.

            He owned land in the Concord area for many years and he also owned a home on North Jackson street in Palestine.
